Did you hear!

Well the weather is finally behaving today and it looks like a gorgeous spring day.

As you know it's still BABY MONTH here and we are collecting Donation to be taken to the SUDBURY INFANT FOOD BANK.

The PRIZE basket has arrived :)  We are being sponsored by Westminster Fibers this year. The Basket is full of beautiful yarn and books.  What do you have to do for a chance to win this beautiful basket - bring in a donation for the Infant food bank and receive a ballot for the draw of this basket.

We are still knitting.........
Have you heard about our Sudbury Colours.  Fleece Artist is a company from Nova Scotia and they have dyed some beautiful yarns in colours ways specially for our shop and to represent our beautiful city.

We have these colours available in a sock yarn BFL Sock as well as in a 3ply Woolie and Silk blend.

Here are the colour names from left to right
Sudbury Rocks
City of Lakes
Big Nickel
Rainbow District
Sweet Yarns
We have started to knit socks with the sock yarns and it is great.  Love the feel and the way the socks are turning out (if I do say so myself).  I knit a beautiful little shawl out the of the Woolie Silk.  Come on is and see what it's like.

Here's my progress on some of those projects from last week:

Well here are the socks.  Since last week they have been "unknit" and then "reknit".  They didn't quite fit the person they were intended for.  It has now been tried on and "Yahooo"  it fits.  I have to say I am really enjoying the pattern - this has taught me how to do 2 stitch cabling with no cable needle - awesome :)

Here is the Top Down Sweater (by Cabin Fever).  I made it a little longer than as per pattern instructions - the baby it's going to is quite tall.  Well time to start on the sleeves tonight for our Top Down Class.

Heading down to the Toronto Knitters Frolic this weekend.  So Super excited - I have never been before.  I will take my camera and report back next week :)

Happy Knitting :)
