Thank you
I wanted to share a little something that we did at the store this past fall.
It all began with an idea - it always does, doesn't it. We love to knit and we love beautiful yarn so if we all got together and pitched in what can we create and be able to help our community with our craft. A decission was made to knit a blanket in all shades of pink. We used BERROCO VINTAGE (Thank you to Berroco for helping with the donation of yarn) and we were off to the races. It took many knitting hands but in the end the final product was beautiful and warm (in my opinion anyway).
We raffled off the blanket over the months of November and December and were able to present a checque to Northern Cancer Research Foundation - Angel In Pink fund in the amount of $600.
I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all that helped achieve this goal.

Knitting/Crocheting Workshops
Happy New Year everyone.
Wishing you a Happy, Healthy 2013 with lots of wonderful knitting time :)
It is a true northern winter up here in Sudbury. What a perfect time for knitting. We have some interesting things going on at Sweet Yarns - so come in out of the cold and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with us as you brouse our beautiful yarns or come in a sit and knit for a bit.
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
We have put together some knitting anc crocheting workshops for the next few months.
Full Detailed Schedule is available at the store - but here is a quick breakdown.
All of these workshops will run on Sundays and will run from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm - the price for a full day workshop is $50 (tax included - supplies extra)

Feb 10th - Top Down Knitting - Design it for yourself - Guest Instructor - Deb Gemmell of Cabin Fever Knitting
Mar 10th - Toe-Up Socks Using Magic Loop
Apr 14th - Knitted Toys - Guest Instructor - Andrea Ford

Holiday Hours

WOW it's November
Were has the time gone. I have been meaning to blog since we openned after our summer holidays and I don't know where the time has gone BUT it's NOVEMBER and Christmas is around the corner
There is so much going on at the shop.
I don't even know were to begin.
We have some gorgeous new yarns in the shop and new ones arriving on a regular basis.
You Must have heard &/or seen the hipe about the New Soak Boxes. I am so excited to tell you that we have them in stock - they are gorgeous. You get a Lorna's Lace Fingering weight yarn with a pattern for beautiful fingerless gloves. In addition you get the matching nail polish, a bottle of hand crean and a bottle of soak wash for your delicates.
When you purchase the kit (for yourself OR for a gift) and once you have knit your gloves come back and shows us - we will enter your name in a draw to have a professional Manicure done in your colour by our friends at the Ultimate You Day Spa.
